How to generate a video from text on Playground AI

Text-to-video lets you create a short video clip just by describing what you want to see — no photo or footage needed to start.

Steps

1. Click Video Generation in the left sidebar.

2. Type a description of the scene, subject, and motion you want — be specific about what's moving and how (e.g. "a paper airplane gliding through a sunlit office, slow motion").

3. Choose your video length and resolution.

4. Click Generate. Text-to-video takes longer than images — usually a minute or more depending on length and resolution.

5. Preview the result, then download it or regenerate for a different take.

Tips for better results

Describe motion explicitly — a still-life description tends to produce a mostly static clip.
Keep the scene simple. Too many moving elements in one prompt often confuses the motion.
If the result feels off, try regenerating before rewriting the whole prompt — video generation has more natural variation than images.
