How credits work on Playground AI
Every image or video you generate uses credits instead of a flat per-generation fee. The number of credits a generation costs depends on the model you choose and the output — higher-resolution images and longer videos use more credits than quick drafts.
Where your credits come from
New accounts start with a free credit balance — no card required. Paid plans refresh your credit allowance every billing cycle, and unused credits on most plans roll over for one additional cycle before expiring.
What uses credits
Only successful generations use credits. If a generation fails or is cancelled before it completes, the credits are automatically returned to your balance.
