How to remove a background on Playground AI

1. Open the image you want to edit, or upload one from your device.

2. Click the Remove Background tool from the toolbar.

3. The subject is automatically detected and the background is cut out — a checkerboard pattern means transparent.

4. Fine-tune the edges with the brush tool if any detail was missed, especially around hair or fine lines.

5. Download as PNG to keep transparency, or continue straight into Replace Background to add a new one.
